Diary/Dead still set for Feb.

A few days ago it was being reported that George Romero’s DIARY OF THE DEAD had itself a new release date – moving from February to May. This was disheartening, as I’m looking forward to the new DEAD chapter from the master – even if the trailer was somewhat underwhelming. Well, this may not turn out to be the case after all, according to ShockTillYouDrop. Mr. Rotten claims his sources – specifically, Weinstein Company reps – are saying this is B.S. The film is still on track to hit on February 15. Rejoice!

DIARY, which isn’t neither sequel nor remake but, dare I use the pretentious word, a reboot of the franchise Romero just can’t let go of. No complaints, as long as it’s entertaining with that necessary dash of social commentary that the man’s so accomplished at. We’ll see, FEBRUARY 15.
