Every now and then we see a studio make a fatal mistake in the horror genre, they try to create the new horror icon of a generation instead of making a film that is so great that the new horror icon naturally is birthed from that great film. We’ve seen many icons that originated from a great film; Freddy, Jason, Michael, Leatherface, and so on, but many others have failed when studios try and force feed a new scary figure into our lives.
Well, even though so many films have failed at this venture some still try. So with that said, it is being reported that Madonna’s production company, Maverick Red, is producing a film titled DIGGER. The film centers around their icon hopeful, Joshua Bauer (not the random grave digger pictured), who is a grave digger out for some bloody, bloody revenge. DIGGER is being directed by John Gallagher and was written by Stephen Lancellotti.
Here’s to Madonna not acting in the movie.
