Dinsdale’s Chaos

Jay Bliznick of Dinsdale Releasing, that twisted motorscooter who brought us THE MANSON FAMILY, sat down with Fangoria for a quick chat about his upcoming exploitation flick, CHAOS.

Directed by David DeFalco, CHAOS is in the same vein as the classic 70s hardcore slashers like LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT. The flick tells the story of a couple of teenage chicks who are abducted… then tortured… then killed by a group of psycho’s… only to be confronted later by the dead girls parents who are seeking revenge…

Right. Where ‘in the same vein’ really means ‘the same f*ckin’ movie’… without that ugly word remake lurking over the title, that’s pretty much what this flick is, don’t ya think? Here’s what Bliznick had to say:

“Our promotion for the film is going to hark back to ’70s grindhouse and drive-in exploitation movies. We’re even kicking around the idea of handing out barf bags with each admission. It’s a really brutal film, and pretty terrifying. It’s going to be out in August or September; the exact dates will be forthcoming, but we’re looking at opening in New York, LA, Chicago, Detroit and the Ohio area; we’re going to be at the Twisted Nightmare weekend in Cleveland. We’re also going to go live with a CHAOS website soon.”

Well, at least they’re excited about it. Aparently it was screened back in 2003, and was so graphic that over 50 people walked out during the middle of it. Now that’s pretty f*ckin’ hardcore. Maybe it’ll be worth a watch afterall…
