I know there’s a lot of people out there that feel movies based on theme park rides are nothing more than a quick way to make a buck. But alas if those movies keep on making those bucks, why in the world would Hollywood stop making them? It’s with that in mind that I come here today to tell you all that it seems there’s another Disneyworld ride set to come to life on the big screen.

Apparently Buena Vista are moving forward with a feature adaptation of Disney’s classic rollercoaster ride The Matterhorn. The Matterhorn, which has been a part of Disneyland since 1959, is a rollercoaster ride set around snow-covered mountains, which are home to some pretty vicious looking Yeti! Alright they’re not that vicious looking but you get the idea.

Buena Vista have already tapped Jason Dean Hall with the task of penning a script for this one, which has scored itself a working title of THE HILL.

The idea is to do a thrilling, fast-paced movie centering on five young adventure seekers who, for mysterious reasons, are called to the top of the mountain and encounter Yetis on the journey down.

Word has it there will be a supernatural twist involved as well. So there you have it folks! How are you guys feeling about this one? Be sure to rant and rave with some bullets below and keep it here for more on THE HILL as we hear it!
