Even though this flick is clearly a rip-off of
Alfred Hitchcock’s REAR WINDOW I’m still stoked about seeing it. The
movie I’m talking about is DISTURBIA and the poster seen above is the
official one-sheet for it.
The film stars Shia Labeouf (who I personally
think is a great actor who will be doing huge things in the near future)
as a guy who becomes incredibly troubled after his fathers
death. So much in fact that he’s actually placed under house arrest. But while
trapped inside the house he becomes restless, and becomes something of a voyeur.
(which is a polite way of saying Peeping Tom) While watching his neighbors he
begins to suspect that one of them is a serial killer, but cannot decide whether
his suspicions are valid or simply a product of cabin fever.
The film does look really cool and even though I
love the Hitchcock version, I’m still looking forward to seeing this one as
