Donnie Darko to receive 15-year anniversary re-release in theaters!

Oh man, this brings me back. DONNIE DARKO was high school Damion's shit, and having re-watched it somewhat recently, I have to say it definitely holds up. It's beautiful to look at, the performances are great across the board (including a pre-fame asshole Seth Rogen playing a bully), and I dug the David Lynch-lite vibe of the whole thing. Hell, I even enjoyed director Richard Kelly's follow-up SOUTHLAND TALES!

So it's awesome to hear that Kelly himself has supervised a recent 4K transfer of the film, to be re-released in theaters in select cities for its fifteen-year anniversary. Here's a trailer for the restoration:
