DVD and Blu-ray covers for Milla Jovovich flick The Fourth Kind

At one point or another, JoBlo.com mastermind Mike Sampson was quoted on a newspaper ad for THE FOURTH KIND, saying it was the scariest movie he had ever seen. That quote was actually supposed to be from The Arrow (aka John Fallon), and to make a long story short, it wasn’t really a quote from either of them. What? Check out the JoBlo Movie Podcast for the full story, it’s quite entertaining.

Least to say the fake-quote didn’t make the cover of THE FOURTH KIND’s DVD or Blu-ray release, but at least they kept Larry King’s pun-filled and cliche-ridden thoughts on the movie. Now the big question is… did he actually see the movie, of just made that shit up based on the title alone? Please… discuss amongst yourselves.

The DVD/Blu-ray will be fairly barebones in terms of content, but that may change once the final product is released on March 16. Both discs include the standard widescreen presentation and 5.1/5.1HD audio options that you’d come to expect from new releases like this–no more, no less.

The release is great news for those like me who missed this sucker when it hit theaters. The word of mouth for this flick is mixed at best, some loving it, some hating it, and very few in between. You know what that means? You gotta see it for yourself to really make a final judgement call.
