Is it just me, or do the woods have a bad rep? Personally, I’ve never had a bad experience in the woods, whether that be hiking or camping, and yet most horror movies depict the woods as being a bad place… even evil. Case in point, THE EVIL WOODS. Why they gotta hate on the woods all the time? You know what’s really evil? This cover art–I immediately thought of the theatrical poster for PREMONITION… and that’s not a good thing! Ah well… fuel the stereotype and give THE EVIL WOODS some love…

THE SIGNAL – June 10th
You know a movie is f*cking out of control crazy when it actually inspires true events. What am I talking about? I’m talking about the dude watching THE SIGNAL in the theater who snapped and killed a fellow audience member with a knife. An audience member he didn’t even know. Considering THE SIGNAL’s about people going murder-spree crazy, I’d say that’s more than just a bizarre coincidence, don’t you think? The new tagline for this beast should read: Inspired True Events. Now it’ s coming to DVD so you’ll be able to watch this flick and go murder-spree crazy in the comfort of your own home. Yippee!

THE EYE 3 – June 24th
Hot on the release tails of the Jessica Alba remake of THE EYE, part 3 of the series is coming at ya and ready to own soon enough. I’ve never seen any of THE EYE series entries, but considering some American producer thought they were good enough to remake, I’m guessing they’re probably pretty good. Plus, it features a chick stabbing herself in the eye on the cover–how cool is that???

DIARY OF THE DEAD – May 20th
George A. Romero fans rejoice! The event you’ve been waiting for since it’s super-limited release is finally here: DIARY OF THE DEAD is finally making it’s way to DVD! Since it’s mostly shot and seen through a hand-video camera, it’s probably more fitting to watch this beast at home rather than the theater–giving it a more realistic effect. Of course, I’m just saying this to make me feel better about missing it in theaters, but it’s true! Plus, dig this cover–Dimension Extreme, you’ve done it again! Bravo!

THE STRANGE CASE OF DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE –May 20th – Because this classic tale stars Tony ‘CANDYMAN‘ Todd!
DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE –May 27th – Because this classic tale… hey, wait a second. Are there actually two JEKYLL AND HYDE flicks coming to DVD? There’s bizarre, and then there’s this.
SHARK SWARM – June 3rd – Because it’s about a swarm of killer sharks… and not about a doctor with a killer split personality.
