ORPHAN – October 27th
ORPHAN was the surprise hit of the summer for me. While the trailers gave it a GOOD SON look and feel, I knew it had to rock better than that, but there was still apart of me that also knew it could suck. I love creepy kid movies, but they’re either hit or miss, so I didn’t get my hopes up too high. I’m happy to report that Vera Farmiga’s hotness, and this kid’s creepiness, shone through and gave us one of the creepier, and well-crafted horror flicks this year. Awesome stuff. An alternate ending? A creepy kids featurette? Sign me up!

ANGELS & DEMONS – November 24th
When Tom Hanks’ horrible wig left the movie, so did my interest. Just kidding. I never had any interest in this movie, nor do I have any interest in checking this f*cker out on DVD. So why’s it here? I think there’s demons in it, but I could be totally wrong. I don’t know, it’s a slow week–sue me! Normally I could at least talk about how nasty that mullet-styled early 90s hairdo looks on Hanks, but damn if they didn’t listen to everyone and made him look normal again. Damn them! Damn them straight to hell!!!

REBORN – November 24th
My first impression, this is a PANDORUM rip-off, right down to the super-similar DVD cover / poster art. Then I read the tagline, which tells me that The Terror Continues, and I think–wait, this is a sequel? Then I read the synopsis and realize… no, this isn’t a sequel. It’s about a guy named ‘Motorman Dan’ who likes to torture and kill people in his house. Really? I get PANDORUM sequel from the cover. Ah well. Motorman Dan, with a name like that, you must be scary!
