HALLOWEEN II – January 12

Rob Zombie’s bizarre and totally original HALLOWEEN sequel is finally coming to DVD. Yay. I missed this sucker in the theaters, and now that it’s coming to DVD, I can’t help but wonder… is it as trippy and ‘out there’ as everyone claims it to be, or is it a stroke of genius I’m going to regret missing on the big screen? Regardless, it’ll be nice see Michael Myers slash up the some peeps yet again, no matter how much acid he’s dropped along the way.

Kate Beckinsale is hot. That’s pretty much the only reason to see this movie. And she’s even hot in snow gear. Lots and lots of snow gear. I’m also interested to see just how badly they messed this up. How could they have taken such a cool concept like a serial killer in Alaska and screw it up? That is the question. And what’s up with Beckinsale always rockin’ the pasty-pale look? First UNDERWORLD, now this. Get some sun already!

Let’s see here. Lesbians? Check. Vampires? Check. Exploitation flick from the 70s? Check. Rockin’ good time with ample nudity, cheesy gratitous violence, all while coming at ya in glorious high definition? Check-checkity-check-check-check. Can you dig it? I know I sure as f*ck can. And to top it all off, this beast stars Anulka! And it doesn’t even matter that I have no idea who that is!
