If you’ve ever wanted an example of a pointless movie, and an even more pointless remake, then check out THE STEPFATHER. Easily one of the worse (if not, the worse) movie of 2009. The film’s biggest fault? THE STEPFATHER was incredibly boring. Not a lot happens in the film, so much so that the prospect of an unrated director’s cut does absolutely nothing for me. That is, unless the unrated version has Amber Heard stripping out of that bikini and into something more revealing… like nothing at all. Then, and only then, would this trash be worth picking up. LAW ABIDING CITIZEN – February 16
I missed this sucker in theaters and you now what–that really bummed me out. Everything I’ve heard about the film, from Gerard Butler’s superb performance to the morality twists near the end, has been great. And now I have to wait until February to check it out and see if it lives up to the hype. I’m sure it will. You can’t go wrong with a criminal mastermind blowing shit up for a couple of hours. You just can’t.

BANSHEE!!! – March 23
This flick has a few things going for it. 1) Great f*cking title! Not that BANSHEE is all that noteworthy, but the fact that it has three exclamation points behind it is pretty dope. 2) The monster looks great! I have no idea what a ‘classic’ banshee looks like, but this sucker looks scary, evil, and mean–all the things you’d want from a monster like this. I was gonna have a third point but forgot it. Cool title and cover. What more do you need? Oh yeah, and the tagline is pretty cool too.

LEGEND OF SASQUATCH – March 23 – Because it looks like this guy’s legend was blown away along with his boyfriend’s head!
BIGFOOT – March 30 – Because you can never have too many killer bigfoot movies, even when there’s another one released a week earlier (damn you LEGEND OF SASQUATCH!).
