THE THIRST – May 15th
Billed as being a cross between the drug culture fright fest REQUIEM FOR A DREAM and the vampire western NEAR DARK, this flick certainly aims to please, and from what our man The Arrow says, it’s a shameless balls to the wall, titties and gore party! Which is really all I needed to know about this flick- I’m so in! Why they didn’t use Arrow’s quote for the cover art is beyond me, as that’s the kind of tagline that will get people blind-buying, and renting the damn thing off the shelf. Take note distributors: words like ‘gore’ and ‘titties’ are sure to attract your target audience. Use em’!

GRAVEYARD ALIVE – May 8th
Think about what would happen if you cross NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD with DEBBIE DOES DALLAS. You’d get something like this, as it’s about this nurse who falls in love with her patient… which just so happens to be a zombie. Will there be nasty zombie sex ala DEAD ALIVE? Only if you’re lucky…

BLACK KISS – May 15th
Straight outta Tokyo, this shocker is aiming to shock the shite outta people. Any cover featuring a bloody blade, a freaky chick in a rocking chair and a smile that will send any man running to their grave just has to be one for a movie that totally rocks the Kasbah. Perfect for rounding out anyone’s J-Horror collection.

PHANTASM – April 10th
The original masterpiece is finally given the DVD special features treatment, which is much like the treatment those in the UK saw a while back. First time to Region 1 audiences, and I think I just herd the collaborative cheer from horror fans around the world (er, North America at least). Anchor Bay, how are you so cool? Once again the Bay sends the message that they’re our friends, so why not show em’ some love? They deserve it for this one! Wow, this is almost as cool as Part 3 finally coming to DVD. Oh wait….

PHANTASM III – April 10th
For the first time on DVD anywhere, Part 3 is finally hitting the DVD market the same day Part 1 hits with a Special Edition vengeance. But wait, where’s PHANTASM II? Why release one and three without releasing two? What the hell is going on here? Seriously, why release this piece of crap and with hold the classic that is Part 2? And why am I asking a bunch of questions that no one can answer? Am I losing my mind? Is the Bay losing their minds? I don’t know!

DEAD AND DEADER –April 10th –
Because it’s pretty much Superman vs. some zombies, as Dean Cain further sinks into the abyss of straight to video genre trash.
