Now, despite what you may think of Electronic Arts, you do have to admit that they make some great games. Sure, they’ve kind of dropped the ball a bit when it comes to their sports games on the PC (NHL hockey isn’t the same as on the XBOX 360), but when you have games like TIMESPLITTERS 3, BURNOUT 3 and THE SIMS 2, you have to hand it to ’em.
Today Gamespot announced that EA would lend a hand to Namco Bandai Games in getting their long-delayed action-RPG game HELLGATE: LONDON out the door. While the game is still under Namco Bandai Games’ banner, EA gets a co-publisher credit to their name. The game was developed with help from dudes experienced in a little series of games from Blizzard Entertainment known as DIABLO, and made a showing at this past year’s E3 to much acclaim.
HELLGATE: LONDON takes place in 2038, where London has been invaded by demons from Hell. You play as a member of an offshoot ancient society of Freemasons, who have been charged with defending Earth from such an invasion. The game has you combining modern technology with arcane magic to send the demons back to Hell. Expect this puppy early next year, but in the meantime, click here for the official site.
