It appears Edgar Allen Poe is putting down the absinthe for one goddamn second to return to action, courtesy of Scott Free Productions. (Yes, Poe is in heaven drinking absinthe.)
Tony and Ridley Scott’s company is dusting off the author’s THE TELL-TALE HEART, for Michael Cuesta (pictured), director of multiple episodes of t.v.’s DEXTER and SIX FEET UNDER. Maybe we can expect Michael C. Hall to star?
DOOM scribe Dave Callaham is scribbling the update (oy…). The president of the company had this to say: “‘Tell-Tale’ is a psychological thriller that sets Poe’s haunting tale against the backdrop of modern science.” I just hope they have the good sense to set it in L.A. and attach Anthony Anderson. You know, update the hell out of it.
If you’re not familiar with the original tale, it concerns a crazed narrator who is so vexed with an old man’s vulture-like eye, that he murders him. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
