Easter Egg Countdown – 2002’s Spider-Man (video)

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

One of the first films to help usher in the current state of superhero movie madness, Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN swing into theaters in 2002 and has been swinging back ever since, in one form or another, with more on the way. Starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, and Willem Dafoe, the film has all the fun, quirky elements that make a Sam Raimi film a Sam Raimi film, while capturing the familiar elements to not only the superhero genre, but particularly the roots of Spidey's comic-book origin. While there's plenty of debate since Maguire hung up the webs as to who the best Spider-Man was/is and which of the films in his growing roster of iterations is superior, there's still plenty to admire about the one that started it all. With that, enjoy the Easter Egg Countdown for Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN!
