Aaron Eckhart is ready to show y’all he’s Hollywood leading-man material after his effective turn as a nice district attorney in some movie that came out a few months back.

Eckhart has signed onto the alien invasion thriller BATTLE: LOS ANGELES, where he’ll play the leader of a platoon fighting off extraterrestrails in the City of Angels. No doubt, the end of the world will make the traffic there even more unbearable.

BATTLE: LOS ANGELES comes from director Jonathan Liebesman (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING) and writer Chris Bertolini (THE GENERAL’S DAUGHTER). No start date is set, but let’s assume it’s not too far away now that they’ve attached a star.
