Eight new character posters for The Nut Job 2 have arrived

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

One of the upsides to reporting on family animated film posters is that they're usually fun and absurdly colorful. Today, we've got eight new character posters for the upcoming animated sequel to 2014's THE NUT JOB, entitled THE NUT JOB 2: NUTTY BY NATURE. Now, while I can appreciate a delicious Naughty by Nature throw-back gag, I'm not entirely sure that kids will pick up on the reference. That's okay, though. Giving a chuckle back to the parents who attend this film with their little ones is certainly an honorable gesture.

Directed by Cal Brunker and written by Scott Bindley,THE NUT JOB 2: NUTTY BY NATURE features the voice talents of actors Will Arnett, Katherine Heigl, Maya Rudolph and Jackie Chan. The animated sequel will follow the mishaps of of Surly Squirrel (Arnett) when the evil mayor of Oakton decides to bulldoze Liberty Park and build a dangerous amusement park in its place. Surly and his ragtag group of animal friends need to band together to save their home, defeat the mayor, and take back the park.
