Do you guys recall a horror movie that was mentioned a very long time ago called OPEN GRAVES? The only reason I have a recollection of the flick is because it starred the always-captivating Eliza Dushku. However, once I made the “Dushku connection”, I also remembered that the flick had some sort of weird “deadly board game” plot to it. Here’s the precise synopsis:
A group of surfers in Spain discover an old board game that claims a life every time it’s played.
Sure, that may seem like a silly plot, however I also feel that if done a certain way, it may also pack some quirky potential. Plus, I mean, it stars Dushku! That alone should merit at least a viewing. However, we may never get the chance according to Eliza herself. Our Faithful horror heroine recently spoke about the yet-to-be-released project. Here is what she revealed regarding GRAVES’s availability:
“I did a film in Spain, but I don’t where or how or when it’ll be released. It was a horror movie. To be honest, I had just talked to the director [Alvaro de Arminan], and he seemed like an interesting chap. And spending three months in northern Spain sounded like a nice vacation and adventure as well. But I don’t really know how it came together.”
So, sadly, we may never get to see Ms. Dushku surfing in her bikini top below, but at least she got a cool vacation out of it! The flick also stars Mike Vogel, Alex O’Dogherty, Ethan Rains, Naike Rivelli, Lindsay Caroline Robba, and Boris Martinez.
