Emma Watson sings “Bonjour Belle” in this new clip for Beauty and the Beast

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Now, while I'm not typically a fan of musicals, I must admit that Disney's live-action adaptation of their animated classic BEAUTY AND THE BEAST has me pretty excited. Full disclosure here, I'm a big fan of the animated original. Furthermore, I also have this burning desire to see Hermione … I mean Emma Watson step into the role of the bookish Belle. She's certainly got the look, and now, I can hear that she has the pipes to do the character justice as well. Don't just take my word for it though, watch the video posted below and hear Watson's dulcet tones for yourself!

Not too shabby, eh? I could be mistaken, but much of what I see here looks like it's been re-created from the animated original shot-for-shot. I'm sure that some things are different, but the overall vibe is the same, for sure. Also, you've gotta love how brazen Belle is; trampling through people's work area, feeding animals when maybe the owner has them on a special diet. One has to wonder what people say about Belle behind closed doors. After all, small townships are a hotbed for gossip about anything and everything when there's so little to keep you entertained day in and day out.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Ewan McGregor, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Stanley Tucci, Emma Thompson, Josh Gad, Ian McKellen, and Kevin Kline. The film is set for a March 17, 2017 release!
