Endangered Species trailer: Rebecca Romijn vs. animals and Jerry O’Connell

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Last year, director M.J. Bassett brought us the action thriller Rogue (watch it HERE), which featured a character played by Megan Fox being stalked by a lion in Africa. Now Bassett is back to deliver more Africa-based thrills with Endangered Species, which is getting a theatrical and VOD release on May 28th. A Blu-ray and DVD release will follow on June 1st. Check out the trailer above!

Scripted by M.J. Bassett and Isabel Bassett, Endangered Species stars Rebecca Romijn, Philip Winchester, Isabel Bassett, Michael Johnston, Chris Fisher, and Jerry O'Connell. This "gripping adventure tale" unfolds

beneath a brutal African sun. Jack Halsey takes his wife (Romijn), their adult kids, and a friend for a dream vacation in Kenya. But as they venture off alone into a wilderness park, their safari van is flipped over by an angry rhino, leaving them injured and desperate. Then, as two of them go in search of rescue, a bloody, vicious encounter with a leopard and a clan of hyenas incites a desperate fight for survival.

Being targeted by a rhino, a leopard, and hyenas? This is one unlucky family. And that's before a homicidal Jerry O'Connell gets involved.

Bassett's previous directorial credits include Deathwatch, Solomon Kane, Silent Hill: Revelation, and episodes of Ash vs. Evil Dead.
