One upcoming flick I haven’t been really paying much attention to is Peter Berg’s BATTLESHIP, which is of course based on the classic board game. Now the reason I haven’t really given this one much thought is probably for the same reason most of you don’t give it a damn about the thing – It doesn’t make sense!
Well yeah, it makes sense… But I mean adaptating a board game like BATTLESHIP into some kind of blockbuster alien invasion flick? I’m just not buying it folks. Unlike moi, I’m sure there are a lot of you out there looking forward to this thing. Right? … Right? Well if there are then those people will probably get a kick out of today’s update: Entertainment Tonight have gone and posted a little piece on BATTLESHIP, which just happens to offer up some brand new footage! Alexander Skarsgård leads a cast that includes Rihanna, Liam Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker (below), Joel William Gonzales, Tom Arnold and Hamish Linklater. Whoa… Tom Arnold is in this thing? I may just have to rethink my interest in it… BATTLESHIP hits the water on May 18, 2012!
