Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts will star in The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence)

I went through a period with movies where I wanted to see the most insane limits a movie could take me in terms of gore, violence, and good taste. I am still all for pushing envelopes with cinema, but sometimes there are movies made that just go to a bad place for the sake of going there with no artistic merit. THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE is one of those movies.

I will admit I watched both of THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE movies and still wish I hadn’t. To start with, they aren’t very good movies in any genre. The fact that THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3 (FULL SEQUENCE) is even coming boggles my mind. The fact they got any one willing to have their name on the poster is baffling. Even if that person is Eric Roberts.

Despite being an Academy Award nominee for RUNAWAY TRAIN, appearing in THE DARK KNIGHT, and starring in one of my guilty pleasures (BEST OF THE BEST), Roberts is not exactly a superstar Hollywood actor. Roberts is firmly on the B-list, maybe even C-list, and stars in a constant assault of shitty Redbox movies. He is practically Asylum territory these days, so his name linked with THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3 (FULL SEQUENCE) doesn’t shock me. Hell, even Nicolas Cage starring in this wouldn’t shock me.

THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3 (FULL SEQUENCE) will take the ass-to-mouth horror up to 500 individuals, so just imagine how f*cked up that is going to look on screen. Roberts will appear with Tommy Lister, Robert LaSardo, Dieter Laser, Laurence R. Harvey, and Bree Olson for writer/director Tom Six. The movie currently has no release date.
