There's no question that when it comes to X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, Evan Peters' Quicksilver stole the show. His Magneto prison-break scene was a great combination of humor and badassery, and the mutant has quickly become a fan favorite among the dozens shown in the last film. There's no question he would make it back for APOCALYPSE and now we know that there will be another set-piece involving the mutant's super speed.

Evan Peters on Quicksilver's scene in APOCALYPSE:

Well, yeah, it’s always difficult to try to top something like that. The special effects guys, man, they absolutely nailed that and did a fantastic job on it. This year we’re working on something that’s bigger and better, keeping the same elements that worked, then adding a few new ones. I’m really excited to see it all cut together, and I’m excited for people to see it, too. I think it’s going to be a really fun sequence in what is going to be a massive X-Men movie. The scope of it — with the end of the world and Apocalypse coming — is going to be a very large, epic ’X-Men’ film.

Regarding the cast on X-MEN: APOCALYPSE:

Everybody on set is just so nice, and so friendly and welcoming. We’re all this big family that’s stuck on this ginormous ship that is sailing slowly along. So I think everybody is incredibly nice, I’ll tell you that much.

Listen, I know we all want another Quicksilver set-piece, but I really hope that "bigger and better" isn't the only mentality going into it. Given the plethora of mutants in APOCALYPSE, I'd like to see more of a combination of powers utilized. And for the love of En Sabah Nur, give Quicksilver some more screen time! That guy's going places…fast!

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
