It appears likely that a day won’t go by from now on without some casting news regarding THE HUNGER GAMES. Yesterday brought the film a couple more actors in the forms of Jack Quaid and Leven Rambin, and today we’e got yet another new face to to go with a crucial character.

Willow Shields (pictured) has landed the role of Primrose Everdeen, the lead character’s sister. She joins Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Jack Quaid, Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg. Elizabeth Banks is still unconfirmed, but is currently “in talks” to join the Gary Ross picture.

Ross said about the casting: “Its so exciting to find an amazing young actress like the one we just met. Prim is an emotionally demanding role and in many ways she is the cornerstone of the story. Willow Shields will make an amazing Prim and we’re very lucky to have her.”
