Evil Dead: The Game: Cheryl Williams, Ash’s sister, is a playable character

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Director Lee Cronin's Evil Dead Rise, which is filming in New Zealand, isn't the only new addition to the Evil Dead franchise that's currently in the works. We also have Evil Dead: The Game to look forward to – and with every piece of news, this game is looking cooler and cooler. As revealed in the trailer above, playable characters include not only franchise hero Ash Williams, but also Scott from the original The Evil Dead, Lord Arthur from Army of Darkness, and Kelly from Ash vs. Evil Dead. It has since been confirmed that Ash vs. Evil Dead character Pablo is in there as well, and now another playable character has been unveiled: Cheryl Williams, Ash's sister!

Cheryl had the misfortune of being the first character to get possessed in the original The Evil Dead, so this game is going to give her a better chance to battle Deadites than she ever had before.

Evil Dead: The Game is a co-op and PvP multiplayer game that will allow fans to

work together as a team of four survivors, exploring, looting, crafting, managing your fear, and finding key artifacts to seal the breach between worlds. Or take control of the powerful Kandarian Demon to hunt Ash and his friends while possessing Deadites, the environment, and even the survivors themselves as you seek to swallow their souls!

Plenty of surprises await in this gore-filled battle against evil that captures the characters, horror, humor, and action from the franchise. Battle across memorable locations including the infamous cabin in the woods, brought to life with tons of terrifying visuals and all-new dialogue from Bruce Campbell. Discover more than 25 weapons, including Ash’s Gauntlet, Boomstick, and chainsaw, and advance in a variety of skill trees to grow stronger and survive in this fun co-op and PvP experience.

The result of a collaboration between Saber Interactive, Boss Team Games, Renaissance Pictures, STUDIOCANAL, MGM, and Lionsgate, Evil Dead: The Game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC sometime in 2021.
