Evil Unbirthen

Now here’s an odd little flick apparently with Lovecraftian influences. It bears the somewhat tricky title UNBIRTHEN’D, however the plot, albeit a tad out-there, is pretty straightforward. Peep your eyes below and find out:

While on a camping trip, a group of friends perform a forgotten ritual, half opening a doorway to another plane. Now they must try to survive as they navigate a world that is half their own and half something else. Strange creatures from beyond surround them as they slowly begin to realize that not only has the forest changed, but some of them may be changing as well… and not for the better. As the infection spreads, so does the horrifying truth of what they have done. “Do not with what you not know.”

It kind of reminds me a little bit of THE MIST which (sorry in advance to the King’s minions) I absolutely hated. I mean, I’ve got nothing against dark and depressing endings, but hopefully UNBIRTHEN’D will still be able to find a way to make it entertaining (if a dark ending is even in its future). I know that is has something do do with that picture up top and to the right. I’m just not exactly sure what.

According to Producer/Writer/Director, Jeff Boerst, the casting process is almost complete with shooting looking to begin soon. As of now, the only known cast members are Vince Krow and Chip Sherman. You can find out more by clicking over to the official website here.

Gruesomely killing off Alexa Davalos’ character was another big problem with THE MIST.
