Just last week, I let you guys know that the long-delayed, fun-sounding slasher BABYSITTER WANTED was finally heading our way with a limited theatrical release no less. Since then, we have now ascertained an exclusive new poster for the flick (up top) as well as some more cool imagery below.

The poster up top as well as the first one below are being used to promote the theatrical release and Dish Network Premiere which will both be happening on February 6th 2009 (that’s in less than 2 weeks). Both seem fairly serviceable in conveying the requisite theme of stalking terror that the BABYSITTER implies. I still really like that one below of the chick hanging upside down. That shite is just f*cked up. Also, the bloody image of the lovely Sarah Thompson below is quite fetching as well.

Again, this BABYSITTER’s plot goes like this: A devoutly religious college student seeking to escape her roommate and make a little extra cash becomes the target of a disfigured serial killer who stalks his helpless prey from outside the darkened windows of a rural farmhouse.

The flick was written by Jonas Barnes who co-directed with Michael Manasseri. In addition to Ms. Thompson, it also stars Matt Dallas, Kristen Dalton, Bruce Thomas, Nana Visitor, and genre vet Bill Moseley. BABYSITTER will expand to even more theaters on February 20th with a DVD release coming along shortly after. We’ll keep our eyes open for a specific date.
