This week sees the release of the long-awaited sequel to SIN CITY, so for those that are just catching up or have yet to even dive into the comic book adaptation from Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, we're making it easy for you with another edition of Movie CliffsNotes. The original was released in 2005 and starred Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Rosario Dawson, Michael Clarke Duncan, Benicio Del Toro, and a host of others. While many of the original cast have returned for the sequel there are quite a few new faces and recast roles, so getting the skinny on what transpired in the first flick may be beneficial before you dive into the next black and white bloodbath this Friday. With a healthy dose of snark and some informative tidbits, we think you'll appreciate the rundown on the much-beloved first entry of SIN CITY.

Enjoy!
