Exclusive Interviews: Guillermo del Toro & Mia Wasikowska talk Crimson Peak

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

On October 16th, visionary director Guillermo del Toro will unveil his latest piece of gothic craftsmanship, CRIMSON PEAK, a supernatural thriller the director has been working on for just under a decade. Featuring dilapidated old manors, ominous spirits, foreboding aristocrats and a general sense of old dark house unease, the film feels like it's all of del Toro's creepiest fantasies have been spilled out upon the screen.

Recently, I was lucky enough to speak to most of the main players involved with the film, including Mr. del Toro himself and lead actress Mia Wasikowska. (To see my chats with Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain, head over HERE.)

Does Guillermo need an introduction? One of the sweetest guys in the business also happens to be one of its leading visionaries, with titles like PAN'S LABYRINTH, HELLBOY and PACIFIC RIM under his belt. Here I talk to del Toro about his inspirations for CRIMSON PEAK, the design of the film and what the deal is with PACIFIC RIM 2.
