THE MAZE RUNNER, based on the best-selling YA book by author James Dashner, is a high-concept, futuristic thriller that looks to be part LORD OF THE FLIES and part ALIENS, based on what I saw at Comic Con. In what would seem to be just another YA franchise attempt, this has a few things going for it; biotech monsters (wait till you see the Greivers), a unique setting, and a great cast. Starring Dylan O’Brien, Will Poulter, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Patricia Clarkson, amongst others.

Today, we have an exclusive featurette that introduces us to some of the key players in the film, which shows their behind-the-scenes interactions throughout filming, along with some interview snippets about their experience working together on the pic. All in all, this is one that usually escapes my radar, but has edged its way back on after the trailers and Comic Con presentation. It may well be a surprise hit in the making.
