A little while back, I brought you a teaser trailer for EARTHLING, a sci-fi flick headed to SXSW this year. I thought it had echoes of MOON (albeit with less Kevin Spacey) and now we’re bringing you an exclusive new trailer from the film which has a lot more footage than anything we’ve seen previously.
The story follows a group of people who discover that they’re actually aliens embedded on earth. They find each other, and must decide what to do with themselves as a looming threat mounts. We get a bit more info in this new trailer, and a spiky seed pod-type artifact appears to be a major cause for concern among the Earthlings. It reminds me a bit of ABC’s V, albeit a lot grittier and with decidedly less Morena Baccarin and Laura Vandervoort (unfortunately).
The film stars Rebecca Spence (PUBLIC ENEMIES), William Katt (CARRIE), Matt Socia (GREENER) and Peter Greene (PULP FICTION) and makes its debut in two weeks at SXSW.
