Connor Storrie is trading romance for futuristic sci-fi noir. Fresh off his breakout performance in the hit series Heated Rivalry, Storrie stars alongside Lilly Krug in April X, an independent sci-fi thriller that has just unveiled its first official trailer ahead of its theatrical release on September 18. Directed by Michel K. Parandi in his feature directorial debut, April X blends psychological thrills, science fiction, and noir influences into a mystery set within a dystopian future. The film’s official synopsis reads: When his twin sister April (Lilly Krug) goes missing, Bax (Connor Storrie) searches every corner of their futuristic, post-Soviet cityscape to find her, ultimately descending into madness.

Following its festival premiere in 2025, April X has secured distribution across multiple territories, including the U.S., UK and Ireland, Germany, Australia, South Korea, and India. North American rights were jointly acquired by Sunrise Films and Rialto Distribution, with the companies planning a theatrical rollout on more than 500 screens.
