Two of the twisted minds behind filmmaking troupe Astron-6 – the gang that brought us such bizarro titles as FATHER’S DAY and MANBORG – are getting very dark for their next venture, THE VOID, which is described as a total change of pace for the fellows. The aforementioned movies are wacky, spoofy blasts, but THE VOID is an effort by directors Steven Kostanski & Jeremy Gillespie to seriously f*ck us up.
Today we’re exclusively premiering one of three new posters for THE VOID, which can be seen below. The design is by noted artist Graham Humphreys and it evokes plenty of nightmarish notions.
The film itself is currently crowdfunding on IndieGogo, and one of the perks is owning this poster, which is limited to 100 prints.
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
In the middle of a routine patrol, officer Daniel Carter happens upon a blood-soaked figure limping down a deserted stretch of road. He rushes the young man to a nearby rural hospital staffed by a skeleton crew, only to discover that patients and personnel are transforming into something inhuman. As the horror intensifies, Carter leads the other survivors on a hellish voyage into the subterranean depths of the hospital in a desperate bid to end the nightmare before it’s too late.
