Exclusive poster for alien invasion film Revolt, starring Pace and Marlohe

After first noticing actor Lee Pace in Steven Spielberg’s LINCOLN, I was rooting for him when he went up for the role of Star-Lord in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY soon after. Pace didn’t get that role, and things have worked out pretty well with Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, but Pace wasn’t totally left out, he did get to play that film’s villain, Ronan. Now director Joe Miale has cast Pace as the hero in a sci-fi action film, the alien invasion tale REVOLT.

Pace as the male lead would be enough to have me interested in REVOLT by itself, but Miale doubled down and also made a great casting choice for the female lead – Bond girl Berenice Marlohe, who really impressed me with her performance in SKYFALL. There’s really no way I can miss this movie now.

Scripted by Rowan Athale and Miale, REVOLT is the story of

humankind’s last stand against a cataclysmic alien invasion. Set in the war-ravaged African countryside, a U.S. soldier and a French foreign aid worker team up to survive the alien onslaught. Their bond will be tested as they search for refuge across a crumbling world.

REVOLT will be hitting DirecTV exclusively on October 19th, with a theatrical release following on November 17th, and with the first stage of its release just a month away we have a cool EXCLUSIVE to share with you today: the unveiling of a new poster for the film.

With explosions, robotic alien invaders, and Lee Pace geared up for war, this poster does a good job of setting up what this story is all about.
