The Asylum has given us the EXCLUSIVE on their trailer for Top Gunner: Danger Zone, the sequel to their Mockbuster film Top Gunner! Could the fact that Top Gun: Maverick is coming out next week have something to do with its release? Stranger things have happened. Overall it looks like another fun Asylum mockbuster, and what’s really cool is that it stars Michael Paré, an eighties legend (Streets of Fire, Eddie & the Cruisers) who also starred in The Shelter (watch it HERE), directed by our own John Fallon!
Per the film’s official synopsis, “An airliner filled with 800 passengers is forced to fly fast and low, above farmlands, suburbs and skyscraper-packed cities or the tons of explosives aboard will detonate. And when an elite unit of US Air Force fighter jets is sent to provide escort, they find themselves facing a squadron of unidentifiable warplanes which ignites a deadly air battle that threatens to destroy all life above and below.” The film stars Michael Paré, Michael Broderick, and Jack Pearson.
Directed by Glenn Miller from a screenplay penned by Marc Gottlieb, Top Gunner: Danger Zone will be leased theatrically on Friday, May 20, 2022, and play through May 26, 2022, in the following theaters listed below while the digital release is set for May 22, 2022.
