Exclusive trailer and clip preview Bishal Dutta’s horror short Inferno

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As of March 17th, director Bishal Dutta's short film Inferno will be available to watch through WatchALTER.com, and today we're proud to share an EXCLUSIVE look at the short's trailer, along with a clip! Check it out in the embed above.

Inferno welcomes daring viewers in on the fight for survival of a young woman, Mariana, who has been trapped in a dingy motel room by something monstrous and must now fight for her life by any means necessary.

The Gunpowder & Sky / ALTER talent incubator has a "proven track record of discovering and fostering emerging filmmakers", and they believe Inferno (which will premiere here on March 17, 2021) will be "nothing less than a terrifying pleasure for horror fans across the globe".

Dutta had this to say about working with ALTER on the release of his short:

I could not be more grateful and excited to have Inferno release on ALTER’s incredible horror platform. They were among the very first people to see the short, thanks to Levi Hill and Sophie Carroll, and championed it from the start. Their unwavering belief in the movie not only inspired me with confidence, but it also opened a number of industry doors for both the film and me.

ALTER remains an indispensable part of the horror genre and community today. Their focus on fostering and amplifying diverse and exciting voices in the genre space identifies a pivotal component of horror’s evolution as a genre – most often, these scrappy, resourceful filmmakers are the ones who will go on to push the boundaries of what the genre can offer. ALTER’s willingness to invest in filmmakers like me when we are still incubating means the world."

The poster for Inferno can be seen below.

Dutta was recently hired to direct an untitled horror feature for James Wan's Atomic Monster Productions.
