The first sequel to the newly relaunched TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES franchise is upon us this week, so we take a trip back 26 years ago (!!!) to the one that started it all. Based on the comic by Eastman & Laird, the four fun-loving, ass-kicking, wise-cracking reptilian ninja teens exploded into cultural icons that have maintained their presence continually in comics, cartoons, toys, video games and more. And, even though the original film holds a special place in my nostalgic heart, it’s definitely gots its flaws to go along with its charms, some of which are highlighted in our latest Top 5 Movie Mistakes.
