Extended red-band clip for Brightburn brings eye-gouging terror to a diner

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Everyone knows the origin of Superman, the alien child who crash-landed on Earth and became a hero to mankind, but what if that alien child proved to be a little more sinister? BRIGHTBURN, an upcoming film directed by David Yarovesky from a screenplay by Mark and Brian Gunn which had been produced by James Gunn, seeks to answer that very question. Sony Pictures has released a new extended red-band clip for BRIGHTBURN which gives us a taste at how disturbing this pint-sized villain really is. Be warned, if you're overly sensitive to any sort of eye-trauma, you might want to avoid this one.

The official synopsis for BRIGHTBURN:

What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.

BRIGHTBURN will hit theaters on May 24th.
