Roger Ebert was the most celebrated film critic of our time, and a documentary on him seems like a no-brainer. Fortunately this behind-the-scenes look on the late, great critic doesn't look like a total fluff piece (check out our Sundance review here), so I'm pretty eager to sit down with this and give LIFE ITSELF a watch.

Check out the trailer:

You'd be hard-pressed to find a passionate filmgoer who hasn't been touched by Mr. Ebert, and for those who weren't familiar with some other aspects of his life, this looks like a great entry point.

LIFE ITSELF will be released sometime in theaters and on Demand on July 4, 2014.
