Fear Street Part 3: 1666 trailer: R.L. Stine trilogy ends this Friday

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Netflix's Fear Street "film trilogy event" began on July 2nd with the release of Fear Street Part 1: 1994, continued with Fear Street Part 2: 1978 on July 9th, and now Fear Street Part 3: 1666 will be wrapping things up this Friday, July 16th. Just two days out from the film's streaming debut, Netflix has released a trailer for 1666, and you can check it out in the embed above.

Director Leigh Janiak shot all three Fear Street movies back-to-back-to-back and also co-wrote each one of them. She crafted the story for part 1 with Kyle Killen and Phil Graziadei and part 2 with Graziadei and Zak Olkewicz, then wrote part 1 with Graziadei, part 2 with Olkewicz, and part 3 with Graziadei and Kate Trefry.

Here's the trilogy logline:

In 1994, a group of teenagers discover the terrifying events that have haunted their town for generations may all be connected — and they may be the next targets. Based on R.L. Stine’s best-selling horror series, FEAR STREET follows Shadyside’s sinister history through a nightmare 300 years in the making.

Fear Street Part 3: 1666 has the following synopsis:

The origins of Sarah Fier’s curse are finally revealed as history comes full circle on a night that changes the lives of Shadysiders forever.

The film stars Kiana Madeira, Ashley Zukerman, Gillian Jacobs, Olivia Scott Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., Darrell Britt-Gibson, Sadie Sink, Emily Rudd, McCabe Slye, Julia Rehwald, Fred Hechinger, Jordana Spiro, Jordyn DiNatale, Elizabeth Scopel, Jeremy Ford, and Randy Havens.

The trilogy was produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and David Ready. Kori Adelson produced 1666 and executive produced the other two. Janiak executive produced the trilogy with Timothy M. Bourne, Yvonne M. Bernard, Joan Waricha, and Jane Stine.

Fear Street Part 3: 1666 is rated R for strong violence and gore, language, some sexuality, and brief drug use.

I enjoyed 1994 and 1978, so I'm on board to see how 1666 finishes the story.
