Featurette goes behind the scenes of AMC’s Preacher

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

We're now just over two months away from when the television adaptation of the Garth Ennis comic book series Preacher will be making its premiere on AMC. Just in case you don't feel teased and/or hyped enough about this project, today we have a featurette to share with you that gives a glimpse of scenes and sets as the creative team behind this adaptation – executive producers / pilot directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, executive producer / writer / showrunner Sam Catlin, executive producer James Weaver – discuss their passion for the project. Actor Ricky Mabe, who will be playing a character called Miles Person (and co-starred with Rogen in ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO), also comments on what they're doing with this show.

With a cast that, in addition to Mabe, includes Dominic Cooper, Joe Gilgun, Ian Colletti, Lucy Griffiths, Ruth Negga, W. Earl Brown, Elizabeth Perkins, Tom Brooke, Jamie Anne Allman, Derek Wilson, and Jackie Earle Haley, Preacher tells the story of

Jesse Custer (Cooper) a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse, his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Gilgun) embark on a journey to, literally, find God.

Check out the featurette below and prepare for the arrival of Preacher on AMC's airwaves Sunday, May 22 at 10pm.
