So it looks like another classic DC character will be making their debut in the CW DC TV universe (CDTU?), and its none other than that Fifth Dimensional trickster himself, Mxyzptlk. He will be making his first appearance in the CW-verse on SUPERGIRL (which makes sense as he was originally a Superman villain). Anyway, here's a trailer showing him off:
Obviously some adaptation changes have to be made to make certain comic-book characters palpable for live-action. And Mxyzptlk was always going to be a challenge. However, having said that, I'm not sure I like the take they're going with, even if I understand it logistically. He's basically more "Q" from STAR TREK than the classic imp we love-to-hate, but I'll wait to watch it in full before I pass complete judgement. (And, to be fair, Q was a Fifth Dimensional being as well, and probably even influenced by Mxyzptlk).
