While looking for intriguing projects to tell you all about today I stumbled upon something over at The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog that looks like it’s right down or alley. I’m talking about a project called “Year Zero,” which is coming at us from FIGHT CLUB scribe Jim Uhls, HBO and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. Sound like something you might be interested in? Of course it does.
The HBO mini-series, which is based on the 2007 Nine Inch Nails album, is being described as an epic sci-fi mini-series. Actually the album has already had an alternate reality game made based on it so why not a mini-series right? Here’s the rundown we have from Live Feed:
Based on the 2007 album by Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails, the concept recording criticizes the U.S. government — specifically the Bush years — and presents a dystopian vision of the year 2022.
So there you have it. Unfortunately that’s not a whole lot to go off of but hopefully we’ll be hearing a lot more about this project soon. As always as soon as more news comes rolling our way we’ll be sure to pass the good word along to all fo you.
