Earlier today we passed along the sad news that Master of Horror Stuart Gordon passed away last night at the age of 72. And now we have a few words of tribute from some of Gordon's fellow filmmakers such as Don Coscarelli (PHANTASM, BUBBA HO-TEP), Don Mancini (CULT OF CHUCKY, CURSE OF CHUCKY), Kevin Smith (RED STATE), and Lloyd Kaufman (THE TOXIC AVENGER, POULTRYGEIST: NIGHT OF THE CHICKEN DEAD).

Best known for directing RE-ANIMATOR, Gordon was also the mad man behind such classics as FROM BEYOND, CASTLE FREAK, DAGON, DOLLS, ROBOT JOX, FORTRESS, SPACE TRUCKERS, KING OF THE ANTS, STUCK, and EDMOND.
