Do you guys remember us telling you about a flick called WAR OF THE DEAD aka STONE’S WAR? I don’t blame you if you don’t remember. Our last update on this shite came way back in 2006! That’s right folks, 2006!! Where the hell has this thing been?!
I know it’s been quite a while but it seems WAR OF THE DEAD is finally starting to crawl back to the surface. You see over at the flick’s official Facebook page a couple new videos just popped up and that’s what I’m here to tell you all about. The videos, found directly below or over in our videos section, are a teaser trailer and a very short ad. Hey at this point we’ll take anything, right? Just nice to see this thing is still kicking.
March 1942. Captain Martin Stone leads an American unit on a mission to destroy an enemy bunker; joining forces with an elite platoon of Finnish soldiers; Cpt. Niemi and Ltnt. Laasko. The troops are torn apart by the same enemy soldiers they had killed a few minutes earlier in an ambush. The living dead? Evil forces? Or SS experiments gone wrong?
Works for me. WAR OF THE DEAD comes from director Marko Makilaasko and stars Andrew Tiernan, Jouko Ahola, Mikko Leppilampi, Samuel Vauramo, Mark Wingett, Andreas Wilson, Antti Reini and Magdalena Gorska (below). Still no word on any sort of release for this little diddy but you can bet we’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
