Serial killers beware, Finn Jones of GAME OF THRONES and Marvel's IRON FIST fame has signed on to topline Fox's drama pilot for PRODIGAL SON. Finn will star alongside Michael Sheen (GOOD OMENS, MASTERS OF SEX) for the crime-centric pilot, which hails from Chris Fedak, Sam Sklaver, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros TV.

Written by Feder and Sklaver and directed by Lee Toland Krieger, the one-hour series focuses on Malcolm Bright, a renowned criminal psychologist. As the son of one of the most ruthless killers the world has ever known called "The Surgeon," Bright uses his unique smarts to aid the NYPD in solving crimes and tracking killers. While trying to make the streets safer to walk at night, Bright is also forced to contend with a manipulative mother, an irritatingly unremarkable sister, and a homicidal father who still hopes to connect with his talented son. As a way of adding to the pile, Bright will also battle his own evolving neuroses, as he works to save the lives of innocents.

Finn will play the role of Malcolm Bright for the pilot.

Co-starring alongside Finn and Sheen for the project are Bellamy Young, Lou Diamond Phillips, Aurora Perrineau and Frank Harts. Meanwhile, Fedak and Sklaver will executive produce with Krieger, Berlanti Prods’ Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.

Let it be known that cancellation cannot keep an Iron Fist down. We'll be sure to bring you more details related to PRODIGAL SON as the show continues to take shape.
