We have a special video to share from the Paranormal Network YouTube channel today. It’s not part of any of the on-going series that are released through the YouTube channel (where you can find shows like We Want to BelieveHunting the HauntedThe UFO ShowUFO Incidents, and Mytheries), but it is connected to at least one of them. In the embed above, we have the award-winning sci-fi short film Fire Sky Creek, which was written and directed by Taylor James Johnson. And if you subscribe to the Paranormal Network, you’ll know Taylor James Johnson as the host of That Bigfoot Show!

Johnson made Fire Sky Creek as part of the 48 Hour Film Project San Antonio 2022. For this event, “All teams are given only 48 hours to make a short film and must feature the same prop, line & character. Yet each team are assigned different genres and this lucky team got Sci-Fi!” To see what Johnson and his cast and crew were able to do in just 48 hours, check out the video!

The character that had to be used in the short was Tom Branch, food delivery man. The prop that had to be used was goggles, and the line that had to be in there was, “Would you please stop doing that?”

Fire Sky Creek stars Sean Rima, Presley Weber, and Jason Scarbrough. Taylor James Johnson produced the short film with Aaron Livingston, who also shot and edited it. Andy Gootz provided the music. Jacob Livingston was the production assistant. The special effects were done by Fabrice Mathieu.

The short ended up winning the Audience Award, Best Actress, and Best Sound Design at the 48 Hour Film Project San Antonio 2022.
