So this is cool! Deadline reports that prolific Native American actor Michael Greyeyes (Blood Quantum) will be joining Zack Efron in the upcoming re-adaptation of Stephen King's Firestarter (originally made in 1984 starring Drew Barrymore) by The Vigil director Keith Thomas! Greyeyes will be playing the character of Rainbird, decribed as

a relentless powerful man who has been pushed into a violent life.

The character was played by Oscar winner George C. Scott in the original 1984 movie.

Here's the official synopsis for the film:

A young girl develops pyrokinetic abilities and is abducted by a secret government agency that wants to harness her powerful gift as a weapon.

Meanwhile, no official release date as of yet, but we'll keep you posted!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the original? If so, looking forward to the new one at all? Either way, sound off below!
