It’s been a while since I’ve seen the 9-minute preview of STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, but this new clip feels familiar and I’m pretty sure it was in there, but don’t hold me to it. Regardless, it’s a cool peek into the dynamic of Human vs. Vulcan decision making when it comes to the mission at hand. The clip has all the main players, from Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, and Simon Pegg, each of them trying to figure out a way to save their logically-minded friend from a volcano eruption.

Good God, man, look at this!:

You’ve got to love the dynamic that the cast has going here, just as they displayed in the last film. They really seem to have a good rapport going and I look forward to seeing all the usual chaotic yelling, screaming, barking orders, etc. on the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise yet again. Shit, that’s half the fun of Star Trek!

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Alice Eve, Peter Weller, Noel Clarke, and Benedict Cumberbatch opens in 3D and IMAX on May 17, 2013.
