First clip from The Incredible Burt Wonderstone will turn your nightmares into dream realities

Want an explanation for the weird headline? Let uber-tool magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey) explain it in the first clip from THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE, which you can watch below. Featuring Carrey, Steve Carell, Jay Mohr and Alan Arkin, the clip highlights the tension between Grey and Carell’s Wonderstone, who accuses the former of performing “monkey porn.” Not sure if that’s a reference to something specific in a prior scene or just a random insult, but it doesn’t seem to faze the majestically-coifed Gray.

If the clip is any indication, BURT WONDERSTONE will have plenty of weird back-and-forths between Carell and Carrey, which has got to be worth the price of admission; the presence of Steve Buscemi will just be a bonus (although he’s sadly absent from the following scene).

Opening on March 15, THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE is as follows:

Superstar magicians Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) have ruled the Las Vegas strip for years, raking in millions with illusions as big as Burt’s growing ego. But lately the duo’s greatest deception is their public friendship, while secretly they’ve grown to loathe each other. Facing cutthroat competition from guerilla street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey), whose cult following surges with each outrageous stunt, even their show looks stale. But there’s still a chance Burt and Anton can save the act—both onstage and off—if Burt can get back in touch with what made him love magic in the first place.
